Art Reception This Sunday at SWOSU

SWOSU will be the first stop for a new traveling exhibit of Indian art that will premiere this Sunday, February 4, on the Weatherford campus.
An opening reception is this Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and everyone is invited to the reception, which is being hosted by the SWOSU Native American Club.
Art from Indian Territory 2007: the state of being American Indian will be featured through March 9 in the SWOSU Art Building Gallery. Sponsor of the show is the American Indian Cultural Center & Museum and corporate sponsor is The Chickasaw Nation. Admission is free and open to the public. Hours each day are 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The American Indian Cultural Center & Museum, along with Co-Curators Mary Jo Watson and Heather Ahtone, have assembled and produced the exhibit. Exhibition artists include: Brent Greenwood, Joanna Underwood, Daniel Worcester, Matt Bearden, Heidi Bigknife, Tom Fields, Tony Tiger, Anita Fields, Kennetha Greenwood, Ben Harjo Jr., America Meredith, Gerald Cournoyer, Blas Flores, Joshua Hinson, Marwin Begaye, Nathan Hart, Jereldine Redcorn, Richard Ray Whitman, Susan Shannon and Sharon Ahtone-Harjo.
