Reaching for the Stars Activity Planned at SWOSU
“Reaching for the Stars: Space Science 1” is a new continuing education activity being offered at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford.
The activity will be held at the Thomas P. Stafford Air & Space Museum in Weatherford on Tuesday evenings, March 6 through May 1. The activity is from 7-8:50 p.m. each night.
Dr. Wayne Trail, visiting assistant professor in the SWOSU Department of Chemistry & Physics, said the activity is directed toward anyone who is interested in gaining knowledge about various space topics including aviation, extraterrestrial life, space colonies, rocketry, radiation, telescopes, the life cycle of stars and more. Various SWOSU faculty will provide instruction on specific topics.
The CE activity may be taken for either accredited continuing education units or SWOSU course credit. The participant fee is $25. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged due to activity enrollment limits.
