SWOSU Hosts Successful Blood Drive
Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s recent February blood drive on the Weatherford campus was a big success and resulted in 231 people attempting to give blood.
Oklahoma Blood Institute Program Consultant Michelle Stinson said the efforts of Student Government Association blood drive chairperson Holly Bullington and the SWOSU football team, coached by Ryan Held, ensured the success of the drive which resulted in 193 people actually giving blood.
The Oklahoma Blood Institute, a not-for-profit regional blood center servicing more than 100 hospitals across the state, conducts five blood drives each year on the SWOSU campus. The next drive is scheduled for April 9-10 in the Wellness Center on the SWOSU campus.
