Carey, Dodson Receive NASA Space Grant Scholarships at SWOSU

Southwestern Oklahoma State University student Desiree Dodson of Weatherford has received a NASA Space Grant Scholarship on the Weatherford campus. Congratulating Carey is faculty mentor Madeline Baugher of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Computer Systems.

Southwestern Oklahoma State University student Sandra Carey of Union City has received a NASA Space Grant Scholarship on the Weatherford campus. Congratulating Carey is faculty mentor Madeline Baugher of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Computer Systems.

Southwestern Oklahoma State University students Sandra Carey of Union City and Desiree Dodson of Weatherford have received NASA Space Grant Scholarships on the Weatherford campus.

Both are sophomore computer science majors and their scholarship award is based on research entitled “Are you bugged? A study of computer viruses at Southwestern Oklahoma State University.”

Their SWOSU faculty mentor is Madeline Baugher of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Computer Systems. 

SWOSU is a member of the NASA Oklahoma Space Grant Consortium which provides scholarship funds for students in science and technology areas at member institutions.  SWOSU matches these funds with an equivalent amount of its own.  Scholarship recipients also perform volunteer service at the Stafford Air and Space Museum in Weatherford.
