Yeagley to Speak at SWOSU

March 28, 2007

Dr. David Yeagley

Columnist Dr. David Yeagley will appear at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford on Tuesday, April 10.

Yeagley, a member of the Comanche Nation of Oklahoma, is a columnist for David Horowitz’ Front Page Magazine, where he advocates conservative ideas from an American Indian point of view.

Yeagley’s presentation, “Immigration: The Wrong Parallels, Historical and Current” will be held at 7 p.m. in the SWOSU Conference Center, located at the corner of Davis and Seventh Streets in Weatherford. Admission is free, and the public is invited. His appearance is sponsored by the SWOSU College Republicans.

According to Yeagley, America is not a nation of immigrants. He says a nation belongs to those who created it, not those who join in later after it is established. Yeagley said the American nation was created by White Anglo-Saxon Protestants, and everyone else joined in later.

Yeagley has appeared on national radio and television, including Ken Hamblin’s radio show, Hannity & Colmes, Bill O’Reilly, C-Span, and History Channel’s Comanche Warriors.

He holds degrees from Oberlin, Yale, Emory, University of Hartford, and the University of Arizona, where he obtained his doctorate. Dr. Yeagley is the founder of The Bad Eagle Foundation, the first national organization for American Indian conservatives.
