Visiting Artists from New York Coming to SWOSU
Two visiting artists will be featured later in April at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford.
Works of Joshua Kramb and Carmen Lizardo will be featured at the SWOSU Art Building Gallery on April 18-24. Works of Kramb will also be shown at the Weatherford Public Library.
Kramb, who lives in the state of New York, is a sought-after professional artist who does paintings and drawings. Lizardo, originally from the Dominican Republic, also lives in New York and will feature works of photography, computer art and mixed media.
Opening receptions are scheduled for both artists. Kramb will be available on Wednesday, April 18, at 6:30 p.m. at the SWOSU Art Gallery. Lizardo will be honored the following night on Thursday, April 19, at 6:30 p.m., also at the SWOSU Art Gallery.
E.K. Jeong, assistant professor of art at SWOSU, said “Let’s Meet the Artist” sessions will be held two times for both artists. The public is invited and encouraged to attend. Kramb’s sessions are Wednesday, April 18, at 10:30 a.m. at the SWOSU Art Gallery and again at 3:30 p.m. at the Weatherford Public Library. Lizardo’s open sessions are Thursday, April 19, at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. at the SWOSU Art Gallery.
