Weatherford Masonic Lodge Presents $5,000 Scholarship to SWOSU Student

Southwestern Oklahoma State University student Heather Matz (center) of Weatherford received a $5,000 scholarship for the 2007-08 school year from Weatherford’s Masonic Lodge. According to Lodge member David Altland (right), the Masonic Lodge voted to raise the scholarship from $1,500 per semester to $2,500 per semester. The lodge selects only students attending SWOSU who are working to complete bachelor’s degrees. The Lodge has been helping students since the 1999 fall semester. Also pictured is Shamus Moore (left), assistant director of admissions and recruitment at SWOSU.
