Nguyen Wins Best Idea Contest
Southwestern Oklahoma State University student Hung Nguyen is the winner of the “Best Idea” contest sponsored by the SWOSU Collegiate Activities Board.
Nguyen’s idea is a “SWOSU Memories” book. The book would consist of pictures taken by the students as a contest and then submitted to the book. Nguyen said it is a great way for students and faculty to remember SWOSU.
Nguyen won an I-pod for submitting the winning idea.
CAB Director Heather Leach said there were many amazing ideas submitted by 20 SWOSU students, and it was extremely hard to pick just one. The winning entry was selected by the seven-member CAB cabinet.
Other top finishers were:
Britnee Goure, second place and winner of a $50 Follett Bookstore gift card, for the idea of a Wet-N-Wild week with competitions between students, staff, faculty and administrators at SWOSU
Natalie Jordon, (tie) third place and winner of a $25 Follett Bookstore gift card, for the idea of a carnival that would allow organizations to set up booths and CAB would provide rides and inflatable games
Kayla DeWitt, (tie) third place and winner of a $25 Follett Bookstore gift card, for the idea of “Rackin Up Awareness” to have a month-long awareness program on cancer.
