Social Sciences Faculty Present at OSA
Three members of the Social Sciences Department at Southwestern Oklahoma State University recently presented papers at the annual meeting of the Oklahoma Sociological Association.
Dr. Philip Holley, Donna Barlow and Dr. Dan Brown all presented at the meeting held this year in Lawton. In addition, seven SWOSU students—Tammie Moss, Robert Roller, Staci Masquelier, Tye Meyer, Heather Wright, Lauren Lohman and Brittani Ogle—all furnished poster presentations.
Holley presented a paper on “Victimology: Sub-Discipline or Discipline,” while Barlow presented on “Blaming the Victim: Are We Targeting the Wrong Gender for Sex Education on College Campuses.” Brown presented on “An Analysis of Capital Punishment in Oklahoma.”
