Census Workshop Planned January 30 at SWOSU
A census workshop will be held Wednesday, January 30, at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford.
The workshop is being co-sponsored by the Oklahoma Census Data Center within the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, the U.S. Government Documents Division of the Department of Libraries and the SWOSU Center for Economic and Business Development.
The three-hour workshop will be held at 9 a.m. in the SWOSU Al Harris Library.
The workshop will feature hands-on computer sessions and will address multiple data needs. Topics to be covered include the recently released 2006 American Community Survey, the business-oriented 2002 economic census, the wealth of information from the 2000 census, updates on preparations for the 2007 economic census, the 2010 census, and other topics as time and interest permits.
This session will cover new material not addressed in previous census workshops and are open to anyone who is interested. The sessions are free, but pre-registration is required.
