Chiefs of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes attended the inauguration of Dr. Henrietta Mann as president of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribal College on the campus of SWOSU in Weatherford.

Dr. Henrietta Mann was inaugurated as the first president of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribal College at a ceremony on April 3 in Weatherford. 

Dignitaries from around the state of Oklahoma attended the ceremony held on the Southwestern Oklahoma State University campus.

Dr. C. Blu Clark of Oklahoma City University served as guest speaker and the investiture involved members of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes, SWOSU President John Hays and other SWOSU representatives as well as community/civic leaders from around Oklahoma.

Mann is a full-blood Cheyenne who has been serving as interim president of the tribal college that was established in August 2006 through the joint efforts of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes and SWOSU. Mann has received numerous prestigious awards and has been active in Indian affairs throughout the nation.

She is a SWOSU graduate who is a member of the SWOSU Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame.
