Breckenridge to be Honored This Friday with Musical Soiree

Long-time Southwestern Oklahoma State University Music Professor Dr. James Breckenridge will be honored this Friday night, October 24, with a musical soiree on the SWOSU campus in Weatherford.

Linda Hays of the Weatherford Arts Council said there will be performances by his students, colleagues and friends. The event is at 7 p.m. in Room 101 of the Ed and Winnie Ola Berrong Music Hall. A reception will follow.

Admission is free, but donations will be accepted to benefit the Weatherford Arts Council Violin Program.

Breckenridge has been a faculty member in the SWOSU Department of Music since 1968.
