Four SWOSU Choral Groups to Perform Thursday

Four choral ensembles from Southwestern Oklahoma State University will perform in concert this Thursday, December 4, at 7 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center on the Weatherford campus.

Admission is free, and the public is invited.

Choirs include: Southwestern Singers, directed by Charles Klingman; Chamber Choir and Men’s Chorus, directed by Daniel Farris; and Women’s Chorus, directed by Joyce Adams Curtis.

The Women’s Chorus will perform Benjamin Britten’s 20th century work “A Ceremony of Carols.”  Guest harpist for the piece is Kendall Hood, principal harpist with the Ft. Smith Symphony and second harpist with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic. 

Other soloists will include Mallory Turlington of Guymon, Amanda Hughes of Alva, Amanda King of Purcell, Michaela Logan of Ponca City, Paige Hagerman of Medford and Raven Miller of Miami, Texas.
