Fischer, Jones Spotlighted at SWOSU
Anita Fischer and Gary Jones have been recent employees in the spotlight at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford.
Fischer is administrative assistant for the SWOSU Admissions and Recruitment Office. She has worked at SWOSU for a total of seven years. She and her husband, Kevin, have been married for 27 years and have five children: Carissa, Kaisa, Kaleb, Jennifer and Jonathan.
Fischer enjoys reading. She attends Life Fellowship Church. Fischer moved back to Weatherford in 1976 when her dad, Clarence Amen, came back to the area to run the family farm. Her dad also works at SWOSU. Fischer also has three of her children attending SWOSU and it is not unusual to have between 15 and 25 people at their house on Sundays as they bring their college friends to dinner.
Jones is a custodian at Rankin Williams Fieldhouse. He has worked at SWOSU for three years. He currently lives in Hydro and has five grandchildren. Jones enjoys writing songs, playing the guitar and singing. He belongs to the Oklahoma Songwriters Association. He also attends the First Baptist Church of Hydro. Jones said he likes the friendly people of Weatherford and a good work environment.
