SWOSUPalooza 10 Accepting Band Demos and Logo Designs
SWOSUPalooza 10 organizers at Southwestern Oklahoma State University are now accepting audition demos and logo design submissions for the popular outdoor musical event that is held each spring on the Weatherford campus.
Student Government Association Special Projects Secretary Maria Ortega said bands that are interested in performing at the event must submit demo materials by March 6. The SGA will accept videos, CDs or tapes of performances.
Individuals wishing to enter the art work for the official SWOSUPalooza 10 logo also have until March 6 to submit designs. SWOSUPalooza 10 designs are used on official t-shirts, flyers and other promotional materials.
All materials may be mailed to: SWOSU SGA, Attn: Secretary Ortega, 100 Campus Drive, Weatherford, OK 73096. Or, demos and logo designs can be taken to the Dean of Students Office in Stafford Center 214. Any questions can be e-mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling (405) 408-6045.
SWOSUPalooza 10 is sponsored and coordinated by the SGA. This year's theme is "The End is Near."
Final art work and band selection for SWOSUPalooza 10 will be decided by the SGA Special Projects Committee. The committee is comprised of active participants from the SWOSU Student Senate.
SWOSUPalooza 10 will be held on the SWOSU campus on Thursday, April 16, beginning at 6 p.m. The headlining band this year will be the Randy Rogers Band, a red dirt country band that Rolling Stone magazine ranked alongside such artists and U2 and the Stones in its list of Top 10 Must-See Artists in 2007.
Another event planned in conjunction with SWOSUPalooza 10 will be a carnival hosted by Sigma Sigma Chi sorority with all proceeds benefiting breast cancer research and going to the annual Relay 4 Life event held on the SWOSU campus.
