Tickets on Sale for Luncheon Honoring Women in Legal Profession
As part of Women's History Month in March, the American Association of University Women chapter in Weatherford is hosting a luncheon on March 12 to recognize outstanding Weatherford women in the legal profession.
Honorees will include: Donna Dirickson, partner in Duncan & Dirickson, Attorneys-At-Law; Angela Wright Marsee, Custer County District Attorney's Office; and Michele Schultz, Legal Aid Services of Western Oklahoma.
The luncheon will be held at 12 noon in the SWOSU Wellness Center. The theme of the luncheon is "What Needs to Be Done to Help Oklahoma Women & What Can We Do?"
Tickets are $10 and available in Room 205 of the Administration Building on the SWOSU campus. All AAUW members also have tickets.
The AAUW chapter will have a meeting this Thursday, February 19, at 7 p.m. at the SWOSU Conference Center. Miranda Stermer of the Custer County Office of Juvenile Affairs will speak to the group on C-WHAT, an effort to pool resources for adolescent advocacy. Everyone is invited, and child care is provided. Hostesses for the evening are Lisa Appeddu, Faye Henson, Gail Wilcox and Henrietta Mann.
