SWOSU Library Showcase Changes Speaker Dates
Due to scheduling conflicts, the Al Harris Library Showcase event featuring Dr. Kenneth Hensley which was originally scheduled for this Thursday, February 26, has been postponed to April 7 at 7 p.m. in the SWOSU Conference Center.
Dr. Hensley, a scientist in the Free Radical Biology and Aging Research Program at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, will speak on brain diseases, such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and Huntington's. He will speak at a non-scientist level on what is known about these diseases, the current scientific research, and the possible prevention and treatment.
This free event is sponsored by the SWOSU Al Harris Library as part of the Library Showcase series.
Author and lecturer Clifton Taulbert, who was originally scheduled to speak on April 7, will be speaking during the 2009 fall semester, according to Linda Pye of the Al Harris Library.
