SWOSU Business and Technology Students Win Awards at State Competition

Southwestern Oklahoma State University's Everett Dobson School of Business and Technology in Weatherford recently won nine first-place awards at a recent Phi Beta Lambda state competition.
The SWOSU chapter also received numerous other awards, including a third place award in the Outstanding Chapter category for Oklahoma.
"Get the Edge" was the theme for the 2009 conference held at the Reed Convention Center in Midwest City. PBL is the collegiate division of the national association, Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda, Inc. PBL is an organization of people preparing for success as leaders in business, government and communities. PBL's mission is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs.
Dr. Patsy Parker, assistant professor at SWOSU, is the advisor of the local chapter and accompanied the students on the trip. Attendance at the conference was partially funded by SWOSU student fees.
