Tapestry Concept Design Exhibition This Weekend at SWOSU
A tapestry concept design exhibition is planned this Friday and Saturday, May 1-2, at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford.
The public is invited to an opening/informal gallery talk from 4-6 p.m. on Friday and workshops on Saturday from 11 a.m.-12 noon and 2-3 p.m.
E.K. Jeong said the exhibition is part of a project that is being developed at SWOSU-a public art tapestry with the theme centering on western Oklahoma. The project will eventually be a traveling exhibit that will be available to cities in western Oklahoma.
This weekend's meetings will allow individuals to see the concept designs and express opinions. For the workshops on Saturday, a suggested donation is $5 to cover material costs. The event on Friday afternoon is free.
The project is sponsored by the Elizabeth Firestone Graham Foundation, Weatherford Arts Council and SWOSU. For more information, contact Jeong at 580.774.3035 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
