Winners Announced for SWOSU Alumni & Friends Golf Classic

Southwestern Oklahoma State University's Alumni Association at Weatherford hosted 123 golfers at the 16th annual SWOSU Alumni and Friends Golf Classic held June 27 at Silverhorn Golf Course in Oklahoma City.
Winners in the University Flight were Matt Jett, Hydro; and Bret Matlock, Sy Freeman and Shannon Friday, all of Clinton. Finishing second was the Clinton team of Mike Lee, Rodney Cabiness, Kenny Lee and Garrison Mendoza. Third place winners were Jeff Penny, Norman; Kevin Fosbenner, Edmond; Jason Penny, Corinth, Texas; and Chad Westfahl, Yukon. Fourth place winners were Garrett Mendoza, Clinton; and Book McDonald, Jaime Allison and Mark Russell, all of Oklahoma City.
In the alumni flight, top winners were Gaylon Adams, Oklahoma City; Jim Mitschke, Owasso; LeRoy Neeley, Overland Park, Kan.; and Jerry Eden, Elk City. Finishing second were Skip Klingman and Buddy Burris, both of Weatherford; Paul Sternberger, Trophy Club, Texas; and Jim Loftin, Oklahoma City. Winning third place were Brand Hartsell, Weatherford; and Clint Powell, Clint Mahanay and Lynn Bailey, all of Clinton. Finishing fourth were Brandon Guptil, Jenks; Hardell Moore, Edmond; and Chris Browner and Chris Jones, both of Oklahoma City.
In the blue and white flight, the first place winners were Rick Garrison and Ed Garrison, both of Yukon; Bill Garrison, Dallas, Texas; Pat Dunn, Weatherford; and Jerry Blevins, Hot Springs Village, Ark. Second place winners were Rick Skinner and Dean McSpadden, both of Weatherford; Ray Kuykendall, Farmer's Branch, Texas; Delbert Mahan, Wichita Falls, Texas; and Richard Hasley, Oklahoma City. The third place winners were Josh Deskin, Cody Meacham, Jason Brumbelow and Fudge Clark, all of Oklahoma City. Winning fourth place were Bob Hunnicut, Coppell, Texas; Mike Muncy, Oklahoma City; Dale Davis, Marlow; and Fred Winters and Angie Ohman, both of Okeene.
Winning teams won $400 for first place, $300 for second, $200 for third and $100 for fourth place.
In the various contests, closest to the pin on hole number 6 was Buddy Burris of Weatherford, while longest drive on hole 11 was Koby Smith of Weatherford. Each won $25 gift certificates.
