SWOSU Pharmacy Foundation Directors Hold Fall Meeting
The Southwestern Oklahoma State University Pharmacy Alumni Foundation Board of Directors recently held its fall meeting on the SWOSU campus in Weatherford.
The Pharmacy Foundation was incorporated in 1974 for the overall purpose of supporting the educational endeavors of the SWOSU College of Pharmacy. Contributions from pharmacy alumni and friends made to the Pharmacy Foundation are used to reward talented and promising students with scholarship opportunities, assist students with financial need, modernize labs and classrooms with state-of-the-art resources, and provide continuing education resources for alumni as well as the Apothecary and Pharmacy Alumni Newsletter.
Members of the board include Greg Adams, Clinton; Shannon Brewer, Midwest City; Ron Cheyne, Granbury, Texas; Mark Eck, Healdton; Dorothy Gourley, Ardmore; Lowell Irby, Artesia, N.M.; Paul Moore, Moore; Bryan Potter, Elk City; H.F. Timmons, Weatherford; John Walker, Amarillo, Texas; Phil Woodward, Yukon; and Smith Wycoff, Eufaula.
SWOSU Pharmacy Continuing Education and Alumni Development Officer Patti Harper said alumni and friends are encouraged to continue the tradition of excellence by investing in the future of the SWOSU College of Pharmacy with a generous donation to the Pharmacy Foundation. Tax-deductible contributions to support the pharmacy college make the difference between a good pharmacy program and a great pharmacy program, according to Harper.
