Weatherford Event Center Ground-Breaking Ceremony This Thursday

Weatherford Event Center 

A ground-breaking ceremony for the highly-anticipated Weatherford Event Center on the campus of Southwestern Oklahoma State University will be held this Thursday, November 4, at 2:30 p.m. just south of Milam Stadium.

Everyone is invited to the ceremony that is being held in conjunction with the November regents meeting of the Regional University System of Oklahoma on the SWOSU campus.

The event center is in the final design stage, and construction is expected to start March 1. Site work will start shortly, according to SWOSU President Randy Beutler.

The event center is being funded jointly by SWOSU students and a sales tax approved as part of the "Yes Weatherford" campaign.
