SWOSU's New Hospitality, Restaurant & Gaming Management Program Adds Interactive Video Classes
November 23, 2010
The new Hospitality, Restaurant & Gaming Management Program at Southwestern Oklahoma State University is being offered on the Sayre campus, but students on the SWOSU campus in Weatherford can earn a minor degree in the program by taking interactive video classes on the Weatherford campus.
Three HRGM interactive classes will be offered during the upcoming 2011 spring semester. The classes will be scheduled for Tuesday/Thursday-one in the morning and two in the afternoon, according to program director Bill D'Alessandro. The courses are:
- HOSP 2213 - Restaurant Food & Beverage Management - T/R 8-9:15
- HOSP 2313 - Gaming Procedures & Operations - T/R 2:00-3:15
- HOSP 1003 - Introduction to Hospitality - T/R 3:30-4:45
D'Alessandro said it is the commitment of the HRGM program to offer a full slate of courses each semester via distance education scheduling.
"We encourage the students at SWOSU/Weatherford to look into these classes," Alessandro said.
