SWOSU Sayre Hosting Timed WARP Contest

SWOSU-Sayre will host the annual Timed WARP (writing and research project) contest for high school juniors on February 22.

The students will compete in the writing contest for SWOSU-Sayre scholarships.

In conjunction with the event, Deborah Carpenter, computer science instructor at SWOSU-Sayre, will offer a workshop for English teachers entitled "Online Technology Tools." Librarian April Miller will also present a workshop for teachers on "Library resources for the study of Folklore & Legends in Literature."  

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with activities and workshops starting at 9 a.m. The contest winners will be announced at 2 p.m. A complimentary lunch in the Bulldog Café is included.  Students and teachers interested in more information or wishing to participate may call Judy Haught, language and literature instructor, at (580) 928-5533, extension 159.
