SWOSU Pharmacy Foundation Board Striving to Help College of Pharmacy
The Southwestern Oklahoma State University Pharmacy Alumni Foundation Board of Directors recently held its spring meeting on the SWOSU campus in Weatherford.
The Pharmacy Foundation was incorporated in 1974 for the overall purpose of supporting the educational endeavors of the SWOSU College of Pharmacy. Contributions from pharmacy alumni and friends to the Pharmacy Foundation are used to reward talented and promising students with scholarship opportunities, assist students with financial need, modernize labs and classrooms with state-of-the-art resources, provide continuing education resources for alumni, and provide publications such as the Apothecary and Pharmacy Alumni Newsletter.
Members of the board include Greg Adams, Clinton; Shannon Brewer, Midwest City; Ron Cheyne, Granbury, Texas; Mark Dodson, Altus; Dorothy Gourley, Ardmore; Lowell Irby, Artesia, New Mexico; Bryan Potter, Elk City; H.F. Timmons, Weatherford; John Walker, Amarillo, Texas; and Phil Woodward, Yukon.
Alumni Development Officer Patti Harper said alumni and friends of the SWOSU College of Pharmacy are encouraged to continue the tradition of excellence by investing in the future of the SWOSU College of Pharmacy with a generous donation to the Pharmacy Foundation. Tax-deductible contributions to support the pharmacy school make the difference between a good pharmacy program and a great pharmacy program.
