Brain Awareness Week Activities Planned in Weatherford
Southwestern Oklahoma State University will host a series of events to celebrate Brain Awareness Week scheduled for the week of March 21-25.
The neuroscience group of the SWOSU Department of Biological Sciences has scheduled events on March 23 and 25 and invites high school and SWOSU students, staff, faculty and the general public to participate.
- Staying Sharp, Tips to Keep a Healthy Brain (open to general public) Wednesday March 23, 12:30-1:15 p.m. at the Pioneer Center, Weatherford
- Alzheimer Mice: New Exciting News from Brain Research Friday March 25, 8:10-9 a.m. at Weatherford High School (high school students only)
- Alzheimer Mice: New Exciting News from Brain Research (open to general public) Friday March 25, 2-3 p.m. at SWOSU Old Science Building Room 212. This last event will culminate with a tour of the SWOSU neuroscience facility.
As explained by the Dana Foundation, the Brain Awareness Week is the global campaign to increase public awareness about the progress and benefits of brain research.
