Cleanup Project Slated April 2 at Crowder Lake Park
The SWOSU Parks and Recreation Management Club is inviting area residents to join in their plans for Keep America Beautiful’s Great American Cleanupä.
On Saturday, April 2, Crowder Lake Park staff and the PRM Club is sponsoring a cleanup project at Crowder Lake beginning at 9 a.m. Paul Hummel, director of Crowder Lake, said the event is to make the park a more beautiful and safer place to enjoy the outdoors.
Hummel said this will be a great opportunity for students and area residents to get involved with cleaning up Crowder Lake while the water level is lowered for repair work.
More than 2.3 million volunteers this year in more than 15,000 communities throughout the United States will be involved in this year’s Great American Cleanup project. Many beautification and community improvement activities are planned throughout the country.
