ElGenia French Memorial Dedicated at SWOSU

SWOSU College of Pharmacy student Ashley Hartsell explains pharmacy students’ fundraising involvement for a bench/tree area south of the Pharmacy II Annex on the Weatherford campus in honor of Dr. ElGenia French, who was a professor at the SWOSU College of Pharmacy from 1979 until 2011, passing away on January 12.
Among those speaking at the ceremony were (from left) COP Interim Dean Dr. Dennis Thompson; SWOSU President Randy Beutler; Dr. Benny French, husband of Elgenia and professor in the COP; Hartsell; and COP Associate Dean Dr. David Ralph. The memorial includes a tree and two benches plus a scholarship awarded to a pharmacy student.
