Block Party Planned Thursday Night at SWOSU

Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s Residence Life will host a Back to School Block Party this Thursday, August 18.

The outside event portion is from 5-9 p.m. on the Memorial Student Center south lawn. After 9 p.m., the entertainment moves inside for a video DJ dance in the University Grill that is set to conclude at 1 a.m.

Performing live music outside will be SquadLive, an 8-piece band that plays a wide range of music from the last 40 years. Students can also enter a drawing for the “Cash Grab” game.

SWOSU’s Campus Activities Board will give away a “Dorm Prize Bundle” consisting of a 26” inch TV, Blu-ray player, flip camera, iHome, coffee maker, and other prizes. To register, student must purchase a Fast Lane Milam Madmen t-shirt, Dawg Days t-shirt or fill out an application for CAB.
