Mineral Owners and Public Invited to Free Seminars at SWOSU
Three free seminars for mineral owners and interested parties in western Oklahoma are planned in October and November at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford.
The Continuing Education seminars on Thursday nights will focus on exploring issues regarding oil and gas in Oklahoma and will feature: Oklahoma Corporation Commissioner Dana Murphy, Chesapeake Operations Engineers Daren Rader and James Roller, and attorneys David Duncan and Mart Tisdal.
Lori Gwyn, director of the CE office at SWOSU, said the public is invited and encouraged to attend on October 13, October 27 and November 10. Each session will last from 6-8 p.m. at the SWOSU Conference Center, located at the corner of Seventh and Davis Streets in Weatherford.
- October 13 : Oklahoma Unconventional Oil and Natural Gas Production: An American Energy Answer, Speakers Daren Rader and James Roller, Chesapeake Energy Corporation
- October 27: Oklahoma Corporation Commission: Regulations Regarding Oil and Gas Interests, Speaker Dana Murphy, Oklahoma Corporation Commission Chair
- November 10: Legal Aspects of Mineral Rights and Property Management, Speakers David Duncan and Mart Tisdal
