SWOSU Social Work Students Benefit From Federal and State Program

SWOSU social work seniors Ruth Francis of Guymon and Katy Unruh of Weatherford have been awarded Child Welfare Professional Enhancement Program stipends of $7,125 for the 2011-12 school year as part of a federal grant to the Oklahoma Department of Human Services to increase the number of professional social workers working in DHS/Child Welfare. A person must have a Bachelor of Social Work or Master’s of Social Work degree to be considered a social worker. The CWPEP program is administered on the SWOSU campus.
