Blood Drive Planned December 5-6 at SWOSU
The Oklahoma Blood Institute will be on the Weatherford campus of Southwestern Oklahoma State University on Monday and Tuesday, December 5-6, for a blood drive that is open to the public.
The blood drive will be held from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day in the SWOSU Wellness Center.
The drive is sponsored by SWOSU’s Greek Council. Students, faculty, staff and the general public are invited to participate and all donors receive a free t-shirt, health screenings and donor reward points.
According to info from the OBI, one blood donation can save up to three lives. Yet, less than ten percent of eligible Americans donate.
“Make sure to eat well, get a good night’s sleep and drink plenty of fluids before donating,” said Richard Story, OBI consultant.
