Approximately $6,000 was raised at the Agape Medical Clinic fundraising luncheon held December 4 at the Pioneer Center in Weatherford.

SWOSU College of Pharmacy Professor Dr. Steve Pray, who volunteers at the clinic, said the funds will be used to purchase medications for the clinic to help those who are medically underserved.

The pork tenderloin luncheon was prepared by the Radonna and Terry Sawatzky family. SWOSU faculty member Sue Ball and the SWOSU Biology Club assisted as did pharmacy students Sarah Yount and Farren Evetts as well as numerous others.

The event was the brainchild of Bryan Bozell, a pharmacy student who is also a member of the local Masonic lodge. The lodge was able to give matching funds to assist in the effort.

Local Masonic Lodge members assisted in serving the approximate 280 people, manning the donation table and clean-up.
