SWOSU Pharmacy Group Provides Health Screenings for AT&T OKC Facility
Faculty and students from Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s College of Pharmacy in Weatherford recently provided health screenings to over 140 employees at the AT&T facility in Oklahoma City.
The SWOSU group, who are members of the Academy of Student Pharmacists of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA-ASP), screened for potential heart disease and diabetes through a series of tests. The services included cholesterol screenings, blood glucose (sugar) screenings, blood pressure screenings, and body mass index (BMI) measurements.
APhA-ASP regularly provides health screening services to the public, both on and off of the SWOSU’s campus.
SWOSU students included Amanda Mayo, Oklahoma City; Zak Key, Vici; and Allen Owen, Watonga. Faculty assisting were Dr. Krista Brooks, Dr. Jacqui Gregory, Dr. Tiffany Kessler and Dr. Nina Morris.
