Literary Festival Planned for SWOSU Sayre Receives $5,000 Grant

Judy Haught (second from left), instructor of language and literature at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Sayre, recently received a $5,000 grant from the Oklahoma Humanities Council and the National Endowment for the Humanities for her project titled “Much Ado About Words: A Festival of Literary Proportions”. This one-day festival will be at SWOSU-Sayre on October 10 and will focus on the literary history and culture of western Oklahoma.  During the festival, humanities scholars will give workshops and lectures on various subjects.
