SWOSU Students Have Chances to Win Scholarships at Parent's Day this Saturday

SWOSU students will have the opportunity to win one of three $500 scholarships that will be given away during Parent’s Day activities this Saturday, September 15, in Weatherford.
The scholarships are made possible by participating businesses. Students or family members can register for the scholarship drawing throughout the day at the following participating businesses:

The scholarship winners will be announced at halftime of the 6 p.m. football game.
Various activities are taking place in Weatherford during Parent’s Day. Oklahoma City Thunder star Kendrick Perkins and mascot Rumble will appear in downtown Weatherford at the 2nd annual Weatherford Wind Fest that is held in conjunction with SWOSU Parent’s Day activities. Perkins will sign autographs/pictures from 11:30-1:30 and Rumble will be in attendance from 10:30-1:30. There will be activities from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. including live music, a climbing wall with a trampoline, dunk tank, a bouncing castle, face painting and a barbeque cook-off between the Weatherford police and fire departments. Weatherford Wind Fest takes place on Broadway Street between Main and Tom Stafford Streets.
Among the other scheduled activities during the day are a SWOSU basketball fund-raising pancake breakfast from 8-10:30 a.m. in the Memorial Student Center, tailgate party from 3-6 p.m. at Milam Stadium, an art show from 9-5 in the Art Building and a 6 p.m. football game between the SWOSU Bulldogs and East Central Tigers.
