AAUW Collecting Items for The Children's Center
The Weatherford chapter of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) is focusing its holiday efforts on collecting items for The Children’s Center in Bethany.
The Children’s Center offers a wide range of medical services, rehabilitative care and social services to children with complex medical needs. Patients can be in long-term care or in short-term rehabilitation after experiencing trauma such as a brain or spinal cord injury. Also, children are outpatients through the hospital and The Children's Center Pediatric Clinic.
Donations are needed in four different areas including personal hygiene items, clothing, baby items and miscellaneous items like batteries, toys, and DVDs. Contributions can be dropped off in Dr. Patsy Parker’s office, Room 253 of the Stafford Center, or in Debbie Brown’s office, Room 205 of the Administration Building.
AAUW is an organization that works to advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, and research. The next meeting of the group will be December 4 in the home of Debbie Brown.
