Henson Named Retention Coordinator at SWOSU
Southwestern Oklahoma State University recently named Wendy Henson as coordinator for the Office of Retention Management.
The Office of Retention Management is designed to help SWOSU students access the university resources available to them for the purpose of maximizing their academic success. The program is focused on helping students attain their collegiate goals.
Henson said her aim is to assist committed students in recognizing their strengths while addressing any weaknesses that may be counterproductive to achievement.
Henson has worked at SWOSU since the fall semester of 2006, starting as an administrative assistant in the Dean of Students office and then serving as VIPER (Violence Intervention, Prevention and Early Response) coordinator from February 2008 to late this year. She received her master’s degree from SWOSU after completing undergraduate work at the University of Colorado.
