TKEs Plan Sit-In This Week for St. Jude's Project
March 4, 2013
SWOSU’s Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity is staging its 5th annual “Sit-In” to raise funds for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
According to TKE President Tanner Miller, members will sit on a toilet on the lawn outside the Gen. Thomas P. Stafford Building on the Weatherford campus from March 4 at 12 noon until Thursday, March 7, at 5 p.m. TKEs will take shifts sitting on the toilet as the event runs continuously around the clock for 77 straight hours.
The fraternity hopes SWOSU students, faculty and the general public will stop by the tent to donate money. Supporters can purchase water balloons to throw at the seated member. The TKEs will celebrate the final hours of the fundraiser with a cookout on the lawn Thursday at noon.
Funds donated will in part go directly to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. For more information or to donate, contact Miller at email@example.com.
