Liao Home School and Tulsa Regent Prep School Advance to World Robotics Championship
Thirty teams from across Oklahoma competed this past weekend (March 1-2) in the Oklahoma Regional FTC Robotics Championship at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford.
Liao Home School in Oklahoma City and the Tulsa Regent Preparatory School earned bids to the world championship of the First Tech Challenge robotics competition to be held April 25-28 in St. Louis (MO). Muskogee finished third in the competition.
Teams winning other awards included: Motivate Award – Muskogee; Connect Award – Meeker; Rockwell Collins Award – Elgin; PTC Design Award – Ardmore; Think Award – Verdigris; Promote Award – Owasso; Compass Award – OSSM Burns Flat; Judges Award – Newcastle.
The event at SWOSU was sponsored by the SWOSU Departments of Engineering Technology and Computer Science and national sponsor Rockwell Collins. Assistance was also provided by the City of Weatherford Hotel/Motel Tax Committee.
