The Weatherford Association of Classroom Teachers recently gave a $200 donation to help with the closet. Making the presentation are (left) Kim Kirton and Mary Howl and accepting for the closet are Mat Cooper, Nina Leffert and Bruce Belanger.

SWOSU Teachers Closet is a new service available on the Weatherford campus for student and new teachers who are preparing to start teaching careers.

The SWOSU Teachers Closet is a place where the teachers can pick up supplies to fill their new classrooms, according to Mat Cooper, president of Gamma Epsilon Alpha Delta.

Bruce Belanger, sponsor of the organization, said 12 student teachers who have secured teaching jobs recently visited the closet and each received $50 worth of merchandise. Donated items are also available.

The Weatherford Association of Classroom Teachers recently gave a $200 donation to help with the closet. The donation will be used by SWOSU graduates who are first-year teachers who have found teaching jobs elsewhere.

The closet is located in the basement of the Education Building.
