SWOSU Students Organizing Benefit Concert on June 8
Two music student organizations at Southwestern Oklahoma State University are organizing a benefit concert to be held Saturday, June 8, starting at 7 p.m. on the Weatherford campus.
Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia and Mu Phi Epsilon are sponsoring the effort to help out victims in the recent Moore tornado.
The concert will be held just south of the Stafford Center on the lawn. Attendees are asked to bring either a monetary donation or physical item.
Taylor Steier, one of the organizers, said groups lined up so far are the band Town and County War; Josh Lamle band; soloist Bill Crane; and a barbershop quartet. Steier said other groups are being added and if a group wants to participate, contact him at 580.78.2328 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
A concession stand will be available and t-shirts will be sold.
