Sorority Plans Sisters for Soldiers Event at SWOSU
In honor of Veteran’s Day, Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s Zeta Phi sorority will be hosting a “Sisters for Soldiers” event November 11-12 on the Weatherford campus.
Members of Zeta Phi will have tables in the lobbies of the Memorial Student Center and Stafford Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both days where students and faculty will be able to write letters of support and thanks to the United States military personnel.
The letters will then be sent to A Million Thanks dropbox, which is a year-round campaign to show appreciation to U.S. Military personnel—past and present—for their sacrifices, dedication, and service to the country. This appreciation is through letters, emails, cards and prayers. The organization will sort the letters and then send to active and veteran soldiers.
Zeta Phi encourages as many people as possible to get involved. For more information, contact Zeta Phi President Kyrsten Smith at firstname.lastname@example.org.
