Fundraiser for Agape Health Clinic Planned Sunday in Weatherford
The Agape Health Clinic will have a fundraising meal this Sunday, November 17, from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the Weatherford Pioneer Center, and three Southwestern Oklahoma State University organizations are helping to make it happen.
The Biology Club, Phi Lambda Sigma and Phi Delta Chi have volunteered to help with the fundraiser. No tickets are required but donations will be accepted.
The Agape Clinic is a nonprofit medical clinic founded in 1998, dedicated to serving people with medical needs throughout western Oklahoma. The AC mission is to provide the community with medical, vision, emotional and spiritual help. The clinic pays no staff and uses all monies to buy medicine and supplies for clients. The clinic sees over 100 patients each month.
The menu on Sunday includes a choice of two smoked meats and all the trimmings. All proceeds will go towards buying medicine and supplies for clients.
Sponsors of the effort are the Weatherford Masonic Lodge; B.O.P. Ram & Iron Rental; the Villines family; and the board of directors of Agape.
