SWOSU Department of Education Teachers Closet Continues to Help New Grads

January 16, 2014

Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s Gamma Epsilon Alpha Delta education service fraternity established a Teachers Closet in the spring semester of 2013, and since then, has helped 56 Department of Education graduates fill their classrooms with supplies.

The Teachers Closet, located in the basement of the Dr. Joe Anna Hibler Education Building on the Weatherford campus, allows new teachers an allowance to spend on classroom supplies.

Mat Cooper, president of Gamma Epsilon Alpha Delta, labeled the project a success.

“We have had the incredible opportunity to give our graduating seniors a total of $2,982 worth of teaching supplies,” Cooper said.
