SWOSU ResLife Preparing for Spring Break Ski Trip
Residence Life of Southwestern Oklahoma State University has organized its 6th annual Spring Break Ski/Snowboard Trip to Telluride (CO) for students on the Weatherford and Sayre campuses.
Forty-three participants will leave Friday, March 14, on a charter bus equipped with televisions and Wi-Fi. After getting settled in at the resort, students will spend four days skiing or snowboarding. According to Director of Residence Life Chad Martin, a special theme will be planned for St. Patrick’s Day on the slopes, and students are encouraged to bring costumes to participate.
Students will stay in groups of 10 in condos with hot tubs, swimming pools and fireplaces. The group will spend nights “out on the town” and dining in the mountains. While skiing/snowboarding, students not only get to experience Telluride but also Mountain Village because the two towns are connected by a gondola, which serves as a lift for skiers and snowboarders and also as transportation for locals and visitors.
Students will return Friday, March 21. Martin says that ResLife is looking forward to planning this event for several more years with the help of student participation so that they can keep offering the trip at an affordable rate.
