TKEs Sitting on Toilet for St. Jude's
April 2, 2014
Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity at Southwestern Oklahoma State University is staging a “Sit-In” on the Weatherford campus to raise funds for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
Members of TKE have been taking shifts sitting on a toilet outside the Gen. Thomas P. Stafford Building. Members will be at the tent 24 hours a day until 6 p.m. Thursday, April 3, and TKE hopes that students and area residents will stop by to make donations to St. Jude’s.
In addition to the donations that the fraternity receives at the sit-in, each member is required to get at least $50 in donations for the children’s hospital. Each member is also required to sit on the toilet at least four hours this week but they can volunteer as long as they want.
TKE hosts a Jump-a-Thon fundraiser in the fall that also benefits St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
