SWOSU and OSU-CHS to host Medical Career Camp this Friday
Southwestern Oklahoma State University students in the Medical Professions Club and Biology Club, in association with Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences, will host a medical school mini-camp for high school students this Friday, June 6, on the Weatherford campus.
The event is one of five that OSU-CHS will host across the state. OSU-CHS President Kayse Shrum said the camps are a fun way to introduce teenagers to the idea of a career as a physician.
Registration begins at 10 a.m. in Room 212 of the Old Science Building. There will hands-on demonstrations in the morning and afternoon as well as a “Medical School 101” session. The camp is free, and interested students can register at medicine.okstate.edu.
