SWOSU Student Places in Top 5 of National Filmmaker Competition
Southwestern Oklahoma State University student Justin Arwood of Duncan (Marlow Central High School) recently placed in the top five of a nationwide filmmaker’s competition.
Arwood was honored with awards for best editing and best cinematography in the Bloom Film Challenge, presented by Students of the World, pivot television network, and Silk foods.
His film, Portrait of a Painter, features fellow SWOSU student Karlea Brooks of Guymon. The visual profile focuses on the inspiration and influence of the artistic process.
Arwood competed against more than 100 student filmmakers from 48 colleges and universities. The other top five finalists attend Stanford University, University of Southern California, University of Texas, and Duke University.
Portrait of a Painter will be featured this week on the national television network pivot.
