Jessica Heiser of Altus and Mike Caniglia of McAlester were named Greek Man and Woman of the Year for 2014 at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford.

Dean of Students Cindy Dougherty recently presented the awards to the pair, who was selected by SWOSU Greek alumni.

Caniglia served as president of Phi Delta Theta fraternity for 2013-2014.  He graduated cum laude in May with a BS in Health Science and is currently in medical school at the University of Tulsa.

Heiser is currently president of Sigma Sigma Chi sorority. She is currently in her second year in the SWOSU College of Pharmacy.

“These two were a great choice,” Dougherty said. “They represent all the ways you grow at SWOSU: physically, academically, socially and spiritually.”

Their names are on the perpetual plaques in the Thomas P. Stafford Center.  Each received $100 from the SWOSU Foundation and an engraved memento from the Greek Council.
